South Bend a riverside fishing village with a rich architectural and cultural heritage. Stroll along the water, shops, and restaurants located near the city dock and boardwalk. Visit the historic Pacific County Courthouse which retains the original fixtures and lighted Tiffany glass dome, 29 feet in diameter. Pick up a walking tour guide of the historic buildings at the Pacific County Historical Museum. View the 1890 logging "Steam Donkey" located at the Margaret Olson Park. Bring your boat and launch at the boat dock just south of town for the great fishing. Pick up a kayaking and canoeing map and explore one of the many water ways.
